Story
The story follows a 9 year war in the world of Zeldrin. The Two Kingdoms are at war; Ara and Velaria. Ara is considered the Kingdom of Light and all that is good, fighting for peace and purity whereas Velaria is considered the Kingdom of Darkness, a Kingdom full of those who were outcasted from society for being different.
Ara is ruled by Merewen Arakida, a highly skilled Light elemental whose morals are somewhat warped; believing that all those with elements of Darkness or those who look different from the majority of the population are evil and should be purged.
Velaria however, is ruled by Mizuki Vel, once a good-natured, peaceful king, now dominated by his element of Darkness, consumed with power and hatred. Velaria has slumped into a run-down mess of rioting and war.
The two Kingdoms had been at war for many years. The King and Queen of Ara decided the fighting could be stopped with unity between the two Kingdoms and so their only daughter; Merewen was married to the King and Queen of Velaria's son; Mizuki. They had a son; Beowulf and a daughter; Kitteh. Despite this, Merewen hated, and had always hated, Mizuki for his element. She grew even more hateful as his element began to consume him with the stronger he became. Her hate for the Element of Darkness and anyone who was different grew; hating and disowning her own daughter who, like her father, controlled the element of darkness.
Mizuki left before his element completely consumed him, returning to his kingdom. Not long after returning, groups of soliders from the Ara forces attacked various villages in Velaria, burning them to the ground and killing everyone in their way. Mizuki, fueled with anger and hatred, declared war against Ara. Many warriors, although mostly young as the older generation had been killed during the ongoing war, joined up to fight for their Kingdom, the most skilled warriors earning higher ranks.
The Story of Element follows the war, focusing on both Kingdoms and the various higher ranking elementals fighting for their Kingdoms. Not only must they face the horrors of battles but betrayal, loss and destruction.
Our story begins, the daughter of Merewen Arakida, disowned and outcasted by her own mother and Kingdom, Kitteh Arakida; her struggle against not only her people but herself...
